Author of ESolve, the distributed Eternity I solver, and builder of eternity2.net, the BOINC project that was the community's public face in 2007. He shut it down with full accounting: 1.6 TFlops, over 10^19 operations, and no solution. He also left the archive its best primary source on the puzzle's creation, a phone call with Monckton on how the solution was generated and vaulted.
